SAY
GOODBYE?

November 22, 2008, Zoey's Closet will be performing at SAIT'S OPHEUS THEATRE
in Calgary Alberta. Tickets are $15.00 and are available upon request at hollermusic@telus.net,

time, and the dynamic duo have ventured into other musical projects with production
and engineering. Is it Say
Goodbye for this band? We will wait to hear.
There will be no more duplications of CD's for Holler or Zoey's Closet. Once they are gone, that's it. Because of this, CD's will be for sale until the end of the year at below than average prices....$8 and $10 respectively. Don't wait, get your copy now, before they are gone. Click here. Songs are also available at iTUNES.
VIDEO
SHOOT
After
being awarded a grant from videofact, we shot our first professional video
for the single 'Say Goodbye'. It was shot
the infamous RED CAM and we are very pleased with the
results. It can be viewed on our myspace, facebook,
much music and youtube. We hope
you enjoy it, and feel free to contact us with your feedback.
HISTORY
Formerly
known as Holler, Zoey's Closet is ready to release the new album Dear Diary.
We have had a long journey to put
this album out. Luck hasn't been on our side for the past
couple of years, but with a new album, name and band line-up we are feeling
re- energized and excited about
this release. The title 'Dear Diary' tells exactly what the album
is about. The experiences (good and bad) that have happened to us over
the past 2 years has made for an
incredibly real album. We couldn't be more proud of it or the fact that
it actually made it to print.
RUMOURS UPDATE
08/07
To put to rest what has 'really'
happened over the last little while!
Yes
we no longer have management. No we did not fire
our rhythm section, they quit after New
York. Yes we recorded parts of this album at
Bennett Studios. Yes Trish used to be blonde
and Yes Brad is not married. Trish did
not date anyone from Prince George and No the
band didn't ditch Regina! Yes we are still looking
for good representation and No we
have never had a record deal.
THE MAKING
OF THE RECORD
After winning the X-treme Band Slam
in Regina, the band went on to Toronto for Canadian
Music Week. It was already at that point that another album was in the
works. Brad and Trish had demo'd
up Carnival and Say Goodbye and it was the intent of management
at that time for the band to be recorded and produced by the famous Tony Visconti,
David Bowie's long time producer and colleague. Upon leaving TO, a girl
who had decided to jump from the
21- story hotel that we had been staying in, missed
hitting Brad by a mere15 ft.; hence
the premise for the songs On My Way & On My Way Down.
After staying in New Jersey for
7 weeks at a guest house of our management, things started to unfold
dramatically. No videos had been shot, no showcasing had been done, no pictures
had been done and no meetings had been made. Some recording had
been done, however, with no sign
of a producer in sight we decided to get out before the band went completely
bankrupt. We had booked a number of shows for ourselves, but unfortunately
had to cancel.
With so many promises broken along
with our will, it was hard to think if we would ever get
these songs recorded and it was at this time that 'Beleiver' and 'Mary' were
written. After working A LOT
to recoup lost monies, Brad started to put together his own studio. Most
of the album was recorded right at his home over the following 6 months or
so. It was then mixed at MCC Studios
in Calgary. A couple of favorite tracks were pulled taken from
the previous record and redone as well.
On a more positive note, the band
is back up and running. A video grant has allowed the shooting
of a high quality video which will be happening in January of 2008. Also,
friends and fans have been
patient and generous. Colin McConnel (owner and head stylist of Andrew
Simon Salon in High River) DONATED his time as well supplies (which
included about $800 worth of hair
extensions) to help givethe band an image boost.
